Good Governance

We have developed a Code of Conduct that emphasizes our core values ​​of ethics and transparency, with a view to conducting business fairly.

From ISO27001 to ISO9001

At ACEN, we have already achieved ISO27001 certification, which demonstrates our commitment to information security. Now, we are taking the next step towards sustainability by aiming for ISO9001 certification for quality management.

Environment

Electrification of our fleet

We have been strongly committed to the electrification of our fleet for years. Every new car ordered is an electric car and our parking lot is also equipped with a large number of charging stations. We are even playing a pioneering role in the market in this area.

Car Free Day

On Car Free Day, we encourage our employees to leave their cars at home. And we focus on sustainable mobility alternatives, such as bicycle leasing. We make it an experience, including breakfast and a goodie bag, a bicycle repair and washing service, and inspiration about new means of transport.

Green energy

We do not have our own building stock, but use rental offices. We actively consult with the owners to optimize energy efficiency. During our recent renovation of our office, we opted for energy-efficient materials and invested in solar panels on our roof.

Biodiversity

ACEN has adopted beehives and bee hotels from the non-profit organisation Carnica; a Belgian initiative with the aim of maintaining and expanding the vital but endangered bee population.

At ACEN, we plant a new tree for every new employee. This is how we want to grow together. That is why we are planting a personalised tree in the name of our new colleague together with ‘BOS+ plants’.

Water

We provide a drinking bottle for every employee to drastically reduce plastic. We have also installed a Drippl water fountain. No more bottles and cans lying around the office. Fewer full PMD bags, up to 4 times less energy consumption than traditional vending machines and refrigerators and less CO2 emissions.

Recruitment and selection

Our recruitment and selection process focuses on finding a cultural fit. Once new employees are on board, we ensure a smooth onboarding process so they are ready to hit the ground running. We strive to retain employees by emphasizing our core values ​​and benefits. In addition, we invest in career development and training so our employees continue to grow.

Young starters

For our young starters, we have created ‘Shifting Gears’, a training program for young starters who are taking their first steps on the labor market. We offer them a paid 6-week masterclass, in which they receive in-depth training in cybersecurity. After this masterclass, they follow various technical training courses and we support them intensively for another 2 years in the field of personal growth with soft skill training.

Career paths

For intermediate to senior profiles, we want to be the breeding ground for further development of talents and entrepreneurship. Today, we are working hard on career paths to help each person grow both technically and personally.

Safe and healthy workplace

Our new work floor offers a secure environment with fruit, soup, ergonomic desks and height-adjustable screens, where colleagues treat each other with respect and everyone can be themselves.

Workability

Our pursuit of optimal workability includes the continuous improvement of internal processes. This not only increases the efficiency of doing business, but also ensures that employees experience pleasure in their work. In addition, we offer working groups that colleagues can volunteer for to refine these internal processes.

Healthy mind, productive work

At ACEN, we believe that good mental health positively influences work performance. That is why we offer a wide range of sports activities, such as padel, badminton, fit on wheels and indoor football. 

In addition, we take a daily walk with the team during the lunch break. These initiatives are of course completely voluntary, so that everyone can contribute to a healthy work balance in their own way.

In addition to our own initiatives, employees can also rely on the initiatives of the parent company Cronos, under the name Cronos Care.

Society & Community

Collaborations with education

ACEN maintains active partnerships with colleges that offer IT and specifically cybersecurity courses. Our partnerships with institutions such as KDG and Howest contribute to the extensive quality of the teaching programs.

We also develop interesting internship assignments. These assignments are challenging for students and seamlessly connect to the learning material during their education.

Cyberstudios Howest

At ACEN, we are proud of our partnership with Howest, where we actively contribute to the Cyberstudios Howest initiative. This program acts as a breeding ground for converting highly technical ideas into successful start-ups. It fits seamlessly with our vision to support and stimulate young entrepreneurs in cybersecurity.

Collaboration with Becode

Together with Cronos Security, we also have a collaboration with BeCode, a next-generation ICT training center. The training is aimed at job seekers and school leavers. The participants receive an intensive seven-month training in web technologies, such as cybersecurity.

At ACEN, we take fair business seriously. Our ISO270001 label is proof of our commitment to security and integrity. In addition, we invest in our employees by training them in the technologies we offer. Our young starters obtain the CompTIA+ Security certificate and then the specific certifications that belong to the technologies. In this way, we guarantee quality and we are committed to optimally supporting customers in the field of cybersecurity.

Ongoing Cybersecurity Support

At ACEN, we understand that cybersecurity is an essential part of every business. We support companies with all their cybersecurity issues and offer ongoing support after the implementation of technologies. For customers who use our security projects, we offer support contracts, so that they can always count on us for ongoing support.

In addition, we offer SOC as a Service, with active security monitoring and rapid incident response. Our dedicated team is ready to intervene immediately in the event of security incidents. In this way, we ensure that companies are always optimally protected against cyber threats.

Customer Satisfaction
